counting down the days

so in about two and a half weeks i set off for the lovely land of Spain, the beautiful city of Salamcanca, to be exact. while there, i'll be doing a combination of learning about Spanish culture/history/art, visiting really cool historical sites, meeting and interacting with locals and most definitely seeing all the Spanish music scene has to offer. feelings before leaving include the excitement of investigating a new land, relief for being able to take a break from the life i lead here and nervousness over the common, unavoidable awkwardness of being plunged into a new culture in which i will definitely make mistakes repeatedly. but i can say, the excitement and positive anticipation of the months to come definitely outweigh the concerns.
this is going to be one of the best things i'll ever get to do.
and i don't deserve it at all.
